Jubilee Family Centre was an initiative started by Aylsham Community Church to reach out to and provide the Aylsham Community with facilities and activities needed to improve their quality of life. Having been a successful initiative in 2007, it reached a point where it needed to expand and operate as a separate organisation.
As with many charitable organisations, Aylsham Community Church had limited resources and expertise available to move the development forward. Work was required to:
- Establish the Jubilee Family Centre as a Company & Charity
- Set up a solid organisational framework, i.e. financial systems, employment structures & contracts
- Establish a clear vision and objectives for the Jubilee Family Centre over the next 3 years.
- Produce a comprehensive business plan
- Work with volunteers and project volunteers to develop their activities and assess their feasibility for funding
- Work with local fundraisers in acquiring enough resources for the Jubilee Family Centre to fully deliver its business plan.
Jubilee Family Centre needed a multi disciplined consultancy organisation, to develop the Jubilee Family Centre initiative into a fully functioning organisation, raising funds to meet its resource demands.
Taylorshouse was appointed, based on the work and experience of its principle consultant James Taylor as well as the values of the organisation and the fee level that would be charged.
Through the work of Taylorshouse, the Jubilee Family Centre has clearly moved forward. It has been established as a separate incorporated charity, with trustees appointed. Structures for running the organisation have been established (financial systems, monitoring, compliance etc), activities reviewed and a comprehensive business plan produced. This work has laid the foundations for the Jubilee Family Centre to acquire and access funding as well as be able to deliver quality activities and initiatives that will benefit the local community.
